The role

You’d help develop and extend Olo in two directions: an adapter layer for agent frameworks and the MCP protocol, and a Windows desktop version of the product. Both build on a working system, not a blank repo.

You work directly with the founder. Short video updates, PRs with context, one weekly sync.

What we look for

Strong systems programming in at least one of Swift, C#, C++, or Rust

Comfort with Python for tooling and adapters

Familiarity with how AI agents work: tool calling, MCP, LangChain or similar

Understanding of local process design: IPC, sandboxing, keeping data on the device

Ability to read an unfamiliar codebase and ship into it

Bonus: you’ve built an MCP server, a browser extension, or a desktop app people actually used

What we care about most is that you have built something that sits in the path of an AI agent, whether that was an MCP server, a tool-calling pipeline, a class project, or something you made because you wanted to see what an agent was actually sending. A repo or a short video of it working tells us more than a resume.
